Automatic watches for the masses: Audemars Piguet unveils four new impressive automatic watches
The brand's new addition to the Royal Oak collection, the new Code 11.59, focuses on luxury and comfort (perhaps the most luxurious).
Earlier today, Le Brassus-based label Audemars Piguet launched its latest innovation. While they're all fascinating in their own way (we'll take a closer look at AP's other innovations in a separate story), we think the self-winding version deserves extra attention.
Why? Because these new models focus on ergonomics, the brand has adjusted the case size and overall architecture to create a timepiece that is fully integrated with the wrist. While many of these watches are visually bold, the philosophy is that they should be easy to wear.
With this goal in mind, what could be more carefree than an automatic movement? The answer is Audemars Piguet's self-winding movement, updated to accommodate smaller case sizes without sacrificing precision.
